This study analyzes the behaviour of dictators in some works in African literature.

The article examines the fictional portrayal of the African dictator and the performance of the tyranny.

The current research analyses Véronique Tadjo’s Le royaume aveugle, Aminata Sow Fall’s Ex-père de la nation and Emmanuel Dongala’s Photo de groupe au bord du fleuve.

Drawing inspiration from Marxism and sociological theories, this study aims to answer the following question: How do the novels portray the dictator’s hunger for power? The study concludes that power corrupts leaders and also that true democracy must be embraced for us to have peace and stability.

Cette étude analyse le comportement des dictateurs dans quelques œuvres en littérature africaine.

L’article examine la représentation fictive du dictateur africain et la performance de la tyrannie.

La recherche courante analyse Le royaume aveugle de Véronique Tadjo, Ex-père de la nation d’Aminata Sow Fall et Photo de groupe au bord du fleuve d’Emmanuel Dongala.

S’inspirant du marxisme et la lecture sociologique, cette étude vise à répondre à la question suivante : Comment les romans interrogent-t-ils la faim du pouvoir du dictateur ? L’étude conclut que le pouvoir corrompe les dirigeants et aussi que la vraie démocratie doit être adoptée pour qu’il y ait la paix et la stabilité.
