This study aims at identifying the level of awareness of the educational standards of the professionalization of education amongst the teaching stuff in the faculties of education in the Jordanian universities.
the studying used the analytical descriptive approach to study a sample of (186) i.
e of the teachers in the faculties of education in the Jordanian universities.
from a community is (1983) teachers.
for the purpose of the study, the researchers developed a research tool to measure the standards of the professionalization of education which were (4) standards summarized in (40) items to conclude the psycho meter characteristics of that tool (reliability& validity).
the study came up with (40) standards to professionalize education.
these standards were divided into four levels which are the personal specialized knowledge, the professional practice, the professional development and the professional values and responsibilities.
the level of the recognition of these educational standards of the professionalization of summarized education amongst the teaching stuff in the faculties of education in the Jordanian universities was high.
in addition, there was not any measurable difference in the level of the recognition of these educational standards of the professionalization of summarized education amongst the teaching staff members in the faculties of education in the Jordanian universities.
it was only (0.05).
the study found that there were some differences in the average of response about (0.05) among the teachers in the faculties of education in the Jordanian universities due to the differences in experiences in education.
teachers who have between (5) to (10) years' experience showed better responses than those who have less than (5) years' experience.
