Abstract EN

The relationship between environmental changes, stress and environmental degradation in relation to the issue of security has gained increasing importance since the end of the Cold War.

In this paper, we present a new socio-ecological perspective of the concept of environmental security based on concepts that are based on ecosystem services and functions, as well as its integrity, as well as sustainability as essential values for human survival and well-being, and the result of the paper is to consider that environmental security here is multi-scale, and complex , present in both material and social domains, objective, and subjective, not to mention that threats to these values are also human or caused by natural hazards and disasters that move from the local to the global scale.
