This research is concerned with the study of intentionality in, Abu Alaa al-Maari D rhymed poem.

the research aims to indicate the effect of intent and meaning in guiding linguistic stylistic phenomena in the text, after an energy of thoughts and feelings is formed inside the creator soul, that he deliberately expressed and revealed, which poses the meaning that crystallizes in turn in specific purposes that the creator produces according to textual strategies in literary speech to transfer those potential energies from latency points to verification points via his own tools which distinguishes each creative experience from others , these tools bring the text to the level of outstanding poetry according to the creative deliberative efficiency and the degree to which he is aware of his purposes as well as his ability to control his linguistic context with commitment to the sovereign as well in his group.

therefore, it was necessary to study the intentionality in the poetic discourse of al-Maari through the analysis of textual strategies represented by the structure of rhythm, compositional structure, the structure of metaphors, methods and semantic fields.
