Abstract EN

The current study aimed to reveal the natural features of Jabal Durunkah ; to determine the possibility of its development, to identify its strengths and weaknesses, in order to draw a development map that suits the conditions of the place and is based on highlighting the natural , human potentials and the possibility of benefiting from them.

as well as identifying the most important obstacles that stand in the way of the possibility of developing the region, and working to present a vision to overcome these obstacles..

the study relied on a number of data derived from satellite images, digital elevation models, and many geological and topographical cartographic sources, in order to create an informational momentum that serves the research objectives.

the study reached a number of important results, most notably that Jabal Durunkah possesses many ingredients that can be exploited for development at the urban and tourism levels.

also, Jabal Durunkah came out of the state of isolation that had befallen it for a long time, thanks to the eradication of reconstruction.

the study also looks forward to the fact that the role of Jabal Durunkah will change from being a terrain obstacle that has been devoted to urban problems in the city of Assiut for a long time, to a new role to solve many of these problems so that it will have a near future.
