Abstract EN

The study examined the topic of youth attitudes in Egyptian society towards concepts of feminism, which is a descriptive and analytical study.

through the study, the researcher aimed at analyzing the characteristics that characterize youth attitudes in Egyptian society towards four basic concepts that form the theoretical basis of feminism theory, namely : the concept of patriarchal society, gender equality, gender, and women’s rights.

the researcher used the sample social survey method, relied on the measurement tool, and applied her field study on a sample of male and female students of Menoufia university, from the faculties of arts and science.

the sample size is (260) individuals and the study concluded that youth attitudes towards different implications of patriarchal society concept were negative as was the case with gender concept.

whereas, their attitudes towards the concept of gender equality and women’s rights were positive.

the statistical tests proved the existence of statistically significant differences between the male sample and the female sample at a level of (0.01) on the scale axes in favor of the female sample.
