Abstract EN

The study aims to introduce international standards in the field of records management and digitization, because of the great need for it in conducting electronic archiving of administrative records and keeping pace with the current trend towards digital transformation, the study included an introduction to the ISO and the technical committees concerned with standards for records management and digitization, as it has the largest amount of standards of this field.

the study was also presented exclusively according to the standards produced by the organization and classified according to its topics, the study concluded that the organization focused in its approach to records management standards on three main aspects that represent the set of interdisciplinary sciences that records need to control and update their management system, first : management science, which includes planning development processes, systems analysis, design, and evaluation, second : information technology and its uses in the processes of digitizing documents and the procedures for their preservation, metadata and protection, finally, programming and design of electronic records management systems, the study was able to monitor the relationships between international organizations producing standards for digitizing records and describing them as complementary and cooperative relations, the study also clarified the importance of the role of translations and studies for specialists in guiding Arab researchers towards international standards.

the study relied on the descriptive and analytical approach in collecting, classifying and analyzing information to produce results that contribute to achieving the study objectives.
