Abstract EN
this research aims to monitor the acceleration of the achievement of the literary discourse and its escape from the critical lesson, which still has something of a classic stain that draws it into observing the literary norm in terms of specific frameworks and traditional perspective.
In a world of accelerated change, and modernization, the writer starts off winged, flying his creative experience in vast spaces that are infinite, between the urgent desire to experiment on the one hand, and the desire to preserve a creative originality, which every writer sees as part of his natural right in the world of creativity, on the other hand.
Through this monitoring, the research seeks to explore some of the manifestations of the overlap between artistic genres, specifically between the very short story and the haiku poem of Japanese origin, which were adopted by Arab and Saudi writers and poets in the past few decades until today, based on the call of those concerned with the study of literature theory, especially those who rely upon linguistic and structural perceptions, to exploiting the intersection of genres that have been merged in discourse theory and text linguistic.
Creative experimentation began in the Arab world, indeed in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, early in both the art of the very short story and the Japanese/Arabic haiku poem, especially in the early twentieth century AD, when these two arts met in some aspects and disputed several names, perhaps the most prominent of which is ‘Al-Wamda’ which was given to both genres.
The very short story is a narrative art that has moved towards poetry because of its formal and content nature that was imposed on it.
As for the haiku poem, the narration has also stamped it because of its direct temporal and descriptive terrain that was drawn for it in its Japanese origins, in addition to what is observed in them together in terms of shortness, condensation, flashing and allusions, which tempts the researcher to feel the creative overlap between them, always representing a sign of the originality of each art and its uniqueness at the same time.
