All praises be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds, and prayers and peace of Him be upon His Messenger, The Seal of Prophets.

This research is titled: Terminology of Ruling-related Obligations Between the Fundamentalists and Jurists-The Book of 'Al-Mukhtar' for Verdicts in the Hanafi Jurisprudence As A Model.

By: Imam Abdullah Al-Mussali ( Died 683H ) The Research Objective: It is to clarify the terminology of the ruling-related obligations stated by the Fundamentalists and the actual terms regularly used in the books of jurists by conducting an applied-practical study of the terms used by Imam Al-Mussali in this book ‘Al-Mukhtar li Al-Fatwaʼ (The Chosen For Verdicts) to express the ruling-related obligations.

The Research Method: It is the deductive-descriptive-analytical method, through tracing the words of ruling-related obligations in the book ‘Al-Mukhtar li Al-Fatwaʼ.

Then follows a study of these words through the context first, then through a review of the statements of the explainers and the books of other schools of jurisprudence.

Key results of the research: The terminology used by jurists in their books to indicate a ruling-related obligation may sometimes differ from the terms used by the Fundamentalists.

Rather, they are different from one book to another.

The terms explaining the rulings-related obligations are diversified; some of which are used by Imam Al-Mussali, which are explicit, clear and in conformity with what the Fundamentalists used, while others are not explicit, either because the Fundamentalists mentioned another meaning for them, or because they said they are used for more than one meaning, or because the Fundamentalists did not state them explicitly.

Key findings of the research: To deliver an intellectual message to all universities and scientific research centers to adopt a project concerning the preparation of applied-practical studies on approved books of jurisprudence by the four schools of jurisprudence and to specify the meaning of the terminology of ruling-related obligations that are mentioned in these books so that the researcher or the reader of an issue would not be perplexed about knowing the ruling-related obligation meant by the author regarding this term ,in addition to avoiding making a mistake that makes his understanding contrary to what in known in one of these schools.

Moreover, among the key recommendations is to work for publishing these studies.
