Abstract EN

This study is confined to investigation into the objectives and purposes of face-saving in khu’l and divorcement chapter – an applied study.

the study includes an introduction together with three topics and conclusion.

topic i has provided definition of khu’l and evidence of its legitimacy, definition of divorcement and evidence of its legitimacy-upon both the applied study has relied.

in topic ii, the study has shed light on the constraints set out for saving face, a matter fulfilled thru providing definition of ‘face-saving’ and demonstration of embarrassment, evidence of legitimacy of ‘face-saving’, definition of needed objectives, difference between needed objectives and necessary ones, and correlation between ‘face-saving’ and needed objectives.

then, topic iii has shed light on the applied study for saving face in khu’l and divorcement chapter.

the applied study has included seven demands.

to this aim, the study has employed the analytical inductive methodology.

conclusion of the study has presented the most significant findings and recommendations.

Islamic shariah is featured by tolerance, which is apparent in saving face of those who are legally competent.

those who describe Islamic shariah with extremism had regrettably missed the right either because of misunderstanding, reiteration of groundless notions, or setback of instincts.

face-saving is considered an approach involved in all aspects of shariah-either in divine ordinance or mundane dealings.

correlation between ‘face-saving’ and needed objectives is the generalization and absolutely specific.

‘face-saving’ is regarded as one of the outweighs in case of disagreement and odds.

evaluation of embarrassment is considered a relative issue since it might be critical at a time and not critical at another.

nonetheless, jurisprudential applications of the purposes are still in need of further academic research.
