يسمح في فن تحليل النقد الجغرافي لمكان معين في النصوص الأدبية باستخراج الملامح المختلفة لهذا المكان ومدى العلاقة التي تربطه بشخصيات الرواية.
جعلت كاتيا مونثاوت في كتابها المعنون ب "صرخة النهر" من نهر الكونغو شخصية لا مناص منها تقف بين الحقيقة و الخرافة و منبعها للحياة تارة و للموت تارة أخرى.
Abstract EN
The geocritical analysis of a place in literature allows us to extract the different aspects of that place and, more importantly, shed light on the relationship it has with the characters of the novel.
Katia Mounthault, in her novel Le Cri du fleuve, makes of the Congo river an unavoidable character, midway between myth and reality, and alternatively a dealer of both, life and death.

L'analyse géocritique d'un lieu permet, en littérature, de faire ressortir les différents aspects de cet endroit et surtout la relation qu'il entretient avec les personnages du roman.
Katia Mounthault, dans son ouvrage intitulé Le Cri du Fleuve, fait du fleuve Congo un incontournable personnage, a mi-chemin entre mythe et réalité, dispensateur tour à tour de vie et de mort.
