The Algerian state has carried out many reforms in the agricultural sector in order to encourage investment in it, as the Algerian state owns vast areas suitable for the practice of agricultural activity, whether animal or vegetable, in order to push the wheel of economic development by increasing the gross domestic product and increasing its per capita share.

The Algerian state granted tax concessions and facilities as well in this aspect, but the contribution of the agricultural sector to the gross domestic product amounted to 12 percent, and the contribution of agricultural taxation did not exceed 0.03 percent of the tax revenues, and this, if anything, indicates the reluctance of individuals to invest in this sector.

This is due to its difficult nature and the risks that can be faced.
