Abstract EN

The research aims to identify the causes of drug abuse among a sample of juvenile delinquents, the research is determined on juvenile delinquents in Basra central prison for the year 2021-2022.

the research community consisted of (90) individuals, who chose (45) as a statistical sample and applied the scale consisting of (20) a paragraph and three alternatives (always, sometimes, rarely) on them, the highest degree (60) and the lowest degree (20) prepared by the researcher by reviewing the literature and previous studies.

it was presented to a group of (8) experts, and all paragraphs were accepted, and he applied and used the split-half method for the stability of the scale, and it was fixed at a degree of (0.90), which is high stability.

it encourages addiction and weak security oversight.
