الملخص بدأ أول اتصال رسمي بين الدولة العثمانية واليابان في عهد السلطان عبد الحميد الثاني عام (1889)، بعدها حرصت الدولتان على إقامة علاقات ودية بينهما، و تم تبادل الزيارات المتعددة، و كانت أهمها البعثة التي أرسلها السلطان عبد الحميد إلى اليابان على الباخرة (أرطغل) تحمل مئات من الضباط والجنود العثمانيين حديثي التخرج، و في (26 أيار 1890) وصلت الباخرة إلى ميناء (يوكوهاما)، و مكثت البعثة العسكرية (3) أشهر في طوكيو، و بعد أن أدت مهمتها في اليابان، عادت أدراجها متوجهة إلى إسطنبول، إلا أن الباخرة تحطمت أثر إعصار شديد على الشواطئ اليابانية، فتوفي أكثر من (550) منهم، و قد هزت الحادثة الطرفين، و قد نقل الناجون على باخرتين يابانيتين الى إسطنبول، و دفن الضحايا في موقع تحطم الباخرة.
ثم تكررت الزيارات التركية إلى اليابان، فزار اليابان (محمد علي) وهو مبعوث السلطان في عام (1902)، كما زارها الضابط (برتو باشا) ؛ لمراقبة الحرب اليابانية-الروسية عام (1904- 1905).
Abstract EN
The first official contact between the Ottoman Empire and Japan began during the reign of Sultan Abdul Hamid II in (1889), after which the two countries were keen to establish friendly relations between them, and multiple visits were exchanged, the most important of which was the mission that Sultan Abdul Hamid sent to Japan on the ship (Artagle) carrying hundreds of the newly graduated Ottoman officers and soldiers, and on (May 26, 1890) the ship arrived at the port of (Yokohama), and the military mission stayed for (3) months in Tokyo, and after performing its mission in Japan, it returned to Istanbul, However, the ship was destroyed by a severe hurricane on the Japanese shores, and more than 550 of them died, and the accident shook the two sides, and the survivors were transported on two Japanese ships to Istanbul, and the victims were buried at the site of the ship's crash.
Then the Turkish visits to Japan were repeated, so he visited Japan (Muhammad Ali), who was the Sultan's envoy in (1902), and the officer (Bertu Pasha) also visited Japan.
