مرت الديانة المسيحية منذ ظهورها في مصر بالعديد من التغيرات التي حاول العديد من المؤرخين إيصالها إلينا، إلا أن عنايتهم بها كانت هزيلة وضئيلة، إلى أن جاء عصر النهضة أين اطلع فيه العلماء على تاريخ مصر القديم والذي فتنهم وأبهرهم، فبحثوا عن أصل الديانة المسيحية وعن زعماء الرهبنة وآباء الكنيسة المصرية وعن كيفية انتشار الديانة المسيحية في كامل أرجاء مصر.
قد ترتب عن انتشار الرهبنة في أرض النيل، بامتلاء جميع أركانها بالأديرة، خاصة في فترة العصور الوسطى.
ولقد ترك لنا زعماء الأديرة والرهبان المصريين أخبارا عن منهج حياتهم القائم على الزهد والتعبد واعتزال العالم والابتعاد عن جميع ملذات الحياة، ولقد ازدهرت الحضارة المصرية بوجود أولئك الآباء الأبرار ازداد عدد المعتنقين لهذه الديانة في مصر يوما بعد يوم.
Abstract EN
Since its appearance in Egypt, the Christian religion has undergone many changes that many historians have tried to convey to us.
however, their care has been minimal.
the spread of monasteries has resulted by filling all corners with monasteries, especially in the medieval period.
the leaders of the monasteries and the Egyptian monks have left us with information of their way of life, based on passion and worship and taken apart from all pleasures of life.
