This research aims to study and analyze the most important causes of inflationary phenomenon in Algeria during the period 1990-2018, as the phenomenon of inflation in Algeria is a very complex phenomenon due to the multiplicity and overlap of its causes from structural to monetary and external causes, where the increase in monetary supply, the widening difference between supply and demand, high wages and deficits in the public budget in addition to imported inflation and the high cost of imports in increasing inflationary pressures, which requires the efforts of macroeconomic policies together.
