Abstract EN

This research aims to follow the path of fiscal policy and to highlight the extent of its contribution to the diversification of the Algerian economy during the period (2000-2019).

Hence, the importance of this research is clear in that it addresses one of the strategic options, which is one of the priorities of development plans in Algeria.

This research concluded that despite the activation of the spending and tax policies, they did not have a significant impact on diversifying the Algerian economy, due to the high current spending at the expense of investment spending on the one hand, and the inability to diversify public revenues on the other hand, which prevented the diversification of Income sources and GDP increase during the study period.

This research also proposes a number of recommendations in order to achieve economic diversification in Algeria by adopting an appropriate strategy that ensures the diversification of public revenues away from oil revenues and circumstantial and temporary policies.
