Therefore, we have noted that there are common denominators and features in the nature of the situation on the issue of cultural identity, whereby most currents of the three major political trends, namely the Amazigh current, the national current, and the Islamic current agree in identifying the elements of identity.

however, they disagree on the priority of one element over another.

this study examines the positions and perceptions of the political parties and currents in the Maghreb from the subjects of cultural identity.

since the identification of the cultural and ideological backgrounds that control and lead the political currents to build this or that trend is so significant in the context of understanding the political movement and the backgrounds that drive many political actors, it is important to note that the issue of cultural identity is strongly present in the public debate in the Maghreb region.

particularly, in the countries that we addressed in our study (Algeria, Morocco, Tunisia) and it is a fundamental part in the structure of the ideological currents in this region.
