Abstract EN

The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of foreign trade policy on the performance of the Algerian economy in accordance with the legislation and legal provisions governing the period (2010-2021).

The obtained results indicate that the objectives set through the measures taken to reform foreign trade during the study period were not achieved despite the significant improvement in the trade balance.

This is due to several main factors, including: political situation and the ence of a clear economic model with the deterioration of the health situation as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic and its economic and social impacts at the global level, as well as the dependence of the Algerian economy on the oil sector and the inability to diversify exports outside of hydrocarbons.
