a patent is the document by which its owner enjoys a set of moral and material rights, and prevents others from infringing on it.

since the patent is the main catalyst for industrial development and progress, as it reflects the degree of progress and advancement of countries, all of them were generally keen to put in place laws to protect inventions in order to revitalize the industrial and economic sector for the development of the national economy.

that is why this research paper came to show how invention contributes to the growth and strengthening of the national economy, as it turns out that national progress is dependent on the availability of a strong protectionist system that ensures for capital the appropriate climate that encourages investment in invention, because protection is the basis that guarantees the environment that attracts investors and attracts technology.

The study reached a set of results and recommendations, as the patent can help economic institutions to advance the national economy by introducing various patent protection systems that help encourage invention at its level, as it has become one of the foundations of the institution, especially with the emergence of the knowledge economy and digital technology.
