The issue of participatory democracy has aroused the interest of many scholars and intellectuals; as an alternative political model aimed at increasing civic participation in public debate and political and developmental decision-making, it should be seen as important and irreplaceable for society, nation and humanity.

Thus, in this article we are exploring the topic of participatory democracy and its structural requirements that must be provided to equate participatory democracy building.

The conclusion of this attempt is that participatory democracy in Algeria needs to be embedded in the basic mechanisms of Algerian society.
