Abstract EN

This research study aims to highlight the most important detailed topics in strategic military academic studies of the 21st century, namely the impact of technical-technological progress on the performance and functions of the “Air Force” in its new and contemporary wars.

There is a major and radical transformation in the concepts war management, battles and the emergence of new strategic theories in line with the out outcomes of this development.

The importance of this study stems from the fact that the technological factor and the information revolution have come to control military affairs, by passing various traditional military concepts.

This article concludes that technological capability has become a key criteria in the of the modern air force, due to the various new combat technique that have emerged on the ground, and the independence of this (aerial) dimension from other force is no longer secondary in hostilities, but essential and primary, sometimes the decisive dimension of combat operations.

So wars of this century are post-modern wars.
