This study aims to highlight the role of the private sector in the food industries in Algeria, by addressing its concept of the private sector and its supporting bodies in Algeria.

we have concluded that the efforts made by the authorities to support the private sector and food industries have made the private sector dominant over the food industry in Algeria, and that private small and medium enterprises occupy the majority in the sector with the presence of major complexes, and that private food industry establishments have highlighted their position through its contribution to the national economy compared to public sector institutions
