Economic public order has not remained trapped in its traditional concept under the traditional theory of administrative control as an expression of the concept of economic police.

the adoption of the state of control model has expanded its concept to other systems: the disciplinary public order and the competitive public order.

additionally, its objectives have been expanded towards domain-related objectives with the shift from administrative law to public order law.

as a result, the traditional single objective-the public interest-was exceeded towards larger objectives to balance between: economic requirements like the protection of economic freedoms, the competition and its effectiveness and non-economic requirements like the protection of the principles of the public utility, the human dignity, the protection of the consumer as well as the protection of the environment, infrastructure and sustainable development.
