This article deals with the question of the importance of the role of cultural and more precisely spiritual and religious variables in the overall psychotherapeutic care of patients from a conservative Islamic society with mental disorders, in particular when it comes to practicing western therapies such as therapy (EMDR).
the main objective of the article is to assess the effectiveness of EMDR (which is originally a western practice), to address the dysfunctional spiritual dimension often inseparable from mental disorders as well as its mechanism of integration of this dimension in the psychotherapeutic process of two clinical vignettes (child & adult), the qualitative results show the adaptability of the therapy in this context of exercise.

Cet article traite la question de l’importance du rôle des variables culturelles et plus précisément spirituelles et religieuses dans la prise en charge psychothérapeutique globale des patients issus d’une société islamo conservatrice présentant des troubles psychiques, notamment lorsqu’il s’agit de pratiquer les thérapies occidentales telles que la thérapie (EMDR).
l’objectif principal de l’article est d’évaluer l’efficacité de l’EMDR (qui est une pratique occidentale à l’origine), à aborder la dimension spirituelle dysfonctionnelle souvent indissociable des troubles psychiques ainsi que son mécanisme d’intégration de cette dimension dans le processus psychothérapeutique de deux vignettes cliniques (enfant & adulte), les résultats qualitatives montrent l’adaptabilité de la thérapie dans ce contexte d’exercice.
