We aim through this paper to highlight the other face of the expansion in the production of biofuels from agricultural products and its negative effects on the medium to long term from the economic, social and environmental axes.

We came to a series of important results; in economic terms, the production of bioethanol widely depending on the agricultural products would lead to higher prices for agricultural products due to the high demand for these products; in social terms, the shrinking purchasing power of citizens due to the high prices of some agricultural products, and the exploitation of children in the vast fields of sugar cane and soybean especially in poor countries; in environmental terms, a heavy use of water and drying sources, polluting the groundwater, soil impoverishment, etc
