Abstract EN

The purpose of this article is to explore and analyze the role and importance of industrial policy implementation in enhancing industry and achieving structural change in a group of industrialized countries that includes Turkey, Japan, China, South Korea, and the United Kingdom.

In addition to foreign direct investment, the study analyzes the most important indicators of industrial policies, such as the volume of industrial exports and advanced technology.

According to the most recent statistics from the World Bank's Global Development Index, the analysis for this study included data from 2011 to 2019 and in some cases 2020.

In light of the presented analyses, the paper concludes that the study sample countries apply and use carefully designed industrial policies to achieve economic development and structural change for their economies, as well as increasing interest in manufacturing advanced technologies and exporting them to all countries of the world, in addition to achieving high rates of economic growth, where China was superior.

The majority of the indicators are based on their counterparts in the nations being investigated.
