Abstract EN

This field study reviews the manifestations of the media discourse as a semantic system that unites in its formation a group of verbal and non-verbal signs, through which the contact person seeks to pass different messages that concern the recipient and pertain to the various aspects of his political, social and cultural environment.

This research paper derives its importance by revealing the functions of media texts by analyzing a sample of the letters of news releases of the Algerian public television in the light of the critical linguistic school according to what was written by the researchers "Hodj" and "Kress", it was revealed to us that the contact person had Adopted the circulation of ideas aimed at establishing several core principles, most notably the sovereignty of the Algerian state, national unity, peace and security as well as taking into account the recipient's context and aspirations.
