The topic of the family remains a subject that continues to attract the attention of researchers in the social sciences because of the profound changes and transformations which are undergoing at the present time.

this requires research and investigation to uncover the new characteristics that have accompanied the contemporary Algerian family.

in this article, we try to monitor the most prominent social and religious changes that have occurred in the Algerian family during its modernist course, which has acquired some new cultural, social and religious characteristics that have led it out of its traditional mold.

it has become necessary to monitor these changes in order to understand the reality of our society and thus ourselves.

today, the family is subject to many influences stemming from the dynamics of contemporary life, which have affected the level of its structure, functions and systems, as well as the nature of its network of relationships and religious practices, as well as its cultural and social particularities.
