إن إمكانية التفكير في نصوص "ميشيل فوكو" علامة فارقة لا بعناوينها و مفاهيمها فقط، بل بسياقاتها و قدرتها المخصوصة على توليد معضلات معرفية جديدة كانت متموضعة على الهامش : كالجنون و السلطة و الحقيقة و الجنس ...
إلخ.
هذه الخصوصية أعادت رسم جغرافيا الفكر الغربي برمته انطلاقا من تجاوز الأعراف باختراق التخوم المألوفة و استنطاق هامش الخطابات ليتحدث بذلك خارج أفق كل معقولية.
سعى ميشيل فوكو إلى تعرية الأصول و توضيح هشاشتها قصد تأسيس استراتيجية-و ليست منهجية-مغايرة و قادرة على خلق نظرة جديدة للإنسان و ما ينتجه على مستوى الخطاب.

this peculiarity has redrawn the entire geography of western thought as a whole, starting from transcendental norms by crossing familiar boundaries and questioning the margins of discourse.
