Abstract EN

The research aims to study the impact of the corona pandemic on marital relations during the period of home quarantine for a sample of couples in the sultanate of Oman from three hubs : (communication between spouses, compatibility between spouses, intimacy between spouses).

the research also studies the effect of the following variables : (educational level, presence of children, family income) on marital relations during the pandemic.

the researchers followed the descriptive analytical approach, and they used a questionnaire prepared by the researchers, which consisted of (15) phrases, the research sample consisted of (852) couples in Oman.

the results of the study were as follows : the impact of the corona pandemic (COVID 19) on marital relations during the home quarantine period in Oman was moderately towards the positive direction of the relationship.

and for the intimate relationships and communication between spouses were considered to be average.

while the compatibility between spouses decreased during the home quarantine period.

to add, for the second question, it showed that there are no statistically significant differences for the three variables (educational level, presence of children, family income) on marital relations during the home quarantine period.
