The importance of the study stems from the effective role of digital repositories as one of the most important mechanisms that enable researchers to freely access information and from scientific exchange and communication, which helps support the mobility of scientific research.

the study relies on the descriptive approach and the questionnaire tool with a sample of university professors to find out the most important proposals that increase the effectiveness of digital repositories in developing and supporting scientific research on the one hand, and on the one hand, to identify ways to develop digital repositories available on Algerian university websites in providing content and promoting digital publishing.
