Abstract EN

This study seeks to examine the challenges facing Algeria’s economy in the current crises and their implications for achieving economic security.

Algeria, like other countries in the world, has been hit by economic shocks that have worsened with the spread of the coronavirus pandemic, in addition to the consequences of oil prices decline since the second half of 2014, as well as the conflicts and unrest experienced by many neighboring countries in the context of the political transition.

The study also examines strategies to address these challenges.

The analytical descriptive approach was adopted in the study.

The findings concluded that economic policies should be restructured with a view to correcting macroeconomic imbalances through broad structural reforms.
