The issue of waste management and its safe disposal is among the goals that all countries seek to achieve at the present time, it is one of the indicators that countries rely on to determine the extent to which they have achieved sustainable development, and Algeria like other countries, suffers from the problem of pollution resulting from classified companies, it causes risks to human health and the safety of the environment, which necessitates arranging the penal responsibility of these companies whenever they cause a breach of waste management rules.

the Algerian legislator has recognized the criminal responsibility of the legal person in general, and of classified companies in particular, for the mismanagement of waste under the penal code and various environmental protection laws, especially the waste management law, in view of the large quantities of waste secreted by classified companies, which have disastrous effects on the environment and humans.
