Abstract EN

This study aims to examine the nature of the relationship between metacognitive skills and the level of academic ambition among a sample of the secondary third-year students in the region of Meftah (Blida) during the 2020/2021 academic year in conjunction with the repercussions of the Corona pandemic in Algeria which affected all aspects of life, including research variables, where the relational descriptive approach adopted a simple random sample of 120 students using of metacognitive skills scale (Ali Fares) and the level of academic ambition (Salaheddine Abu-Nahia).

After statistical treatment of the collected data, the results were interpreted in light of the previous studies.

The study concluded that there is a positive statistically significant correlation between metacognitive skills and the level of academic ambition with a predictive trend, as the level of skills rises, the level of academic ambition of the sample members increases, and the study culminated with practical suggestions.
