The study seeks to illuminate the concept of relative deprivation, then the theory of relative deprivation, in terms of concept, historical origin and development, and research the ability of this theory to explain violence and rebellion within societies.

The paper takes a historical-analytical approach in examining the concept of relative deprivation, and through this it aims to broaden the awareness of researchers and decision-makers in their view of problems and crises, especially those related to rebellion and violence.

According to this theory, violence erupts when the expectations of the individual or group contradict the lived reality, and he is disappointed with change.

Political systems can get rid of this violence, either by addressing the problems, or by directing the eyes of individuals to other things.
