This present study aims to expose the impact of gas discoveries in east Mediterranean and especially in Cyprus island on Turkish-Greek relations, by following the historical process of Turkey and Greece domination over the island, and how these historical odds articulate the current split crisis in Cyprus and its legal situation, Then we approached the main discovered gas fields on Cyprus costs line, and how they have contributed in escalating the conflict between Turkey and Greece, and finally we conclude that the influence the two countries has over the clash parties in Cyprus has contributed to deepened the conflict, and this important island became a core clash arena and a leverage between Athens and Ankara to settle the winner party from the two countries, after the strategic gas discoveries there.
