Abstract EN

The aim of this research is to raise awareness of the digital economy, its requirements and its main challenges, as well as to present and assess its status in some Arab countries by studying and analysing the Arab Digital Economy Index for the year 2020, according to its strategic dimensions, which show the level of development achieved by these countries by developing some areas of their digital economy, despite the challenges they have faced.

The study concluded that the United Arab Emirates ranks first in the Arab world , in which Its results were closer to the international normative index adopted in the report to compare between Malaysia and Singapore, as a result for their technological superiority, which promotes competitive advantage, and such a degree of similarity in terms of GDP is similar to some Arab States.
