Abstract EN

In this research paper, we seek to shed light on the reality of crime through Facebook, and ways to limit its spread in Algeria, especially since Facebook is one of the important, free and widely spread social networking sites.

After the study, we conclude that Facebook has become a scene of crime in Algeria through some of the models that have been shown, most of which are related to extortion and threats to publish pictures in order to obtain money or satisfy sexual desires, and the culture of reporting on criminals remains one of the most prominent mechanisms to limit its spread.
