Abstract EN

The current study aims to identify the concept of cognitive emotion regulation and its strategies, several theoretical approaches highlighted the role of strategies of cognitive emotion regulation in health and illness.

Garnefski's model (2001) is considered as one of the most important of these models in which strategies of cognitive emotion regulation are classified into adaptive strategies related to mental and physical health and less-adaptive strategies related to disorders and diseases.

a good regulation of emotions relies on using different adaptive strategies to balance emotional reactions and reach a maximum satisfaction of the emotional response, which is positively reflected in the mental and physical health aspects of the individual.
