Abstract EN

Oral novelsis one of the important sources in writing the history of Algeria, because the participants in the historical event are the living witness to the facts of that event, and those closely surrounding the circumstances of its occurrence.

However, this importance does not mean accepting all the statements that these people put forward because the oral novel is influenced by the narrator's personality, whims, and popularization of opinions.

Therefore, the oral narration must be subjected to strict and serious criticism, through which the facts of the event can be distinguished from its falsifications, by dealing with the oral narration on two levels.

On the one hand by criticizing the novel as a historical eventand on the one hand, by criticizing the narrator who narrates the course of this event, and this is what leads us to the truth of the historical event to a better degree so that we can rely on this novel as an objective writing of the history of Algeria.
