Abstract EN

The right to adequate housing was recognized as a component of the right to an adequate standard of living in the universal declaration of human rights 1948, and it was enshrined in the special international covenant on Economics, Social and Cultural rights 1966, it has also become constitutionally protected in Morocco by the Constitution of 2011, which recognized it as a fundamental human right, which necessitates the need to devise legal measures aiming at the social development and social justice, in order to guarantee the protection of its citizens and provide adequate housing for them and improve their living environment in response to the international instruments to which it is committed.
