Abstract EN

This study deals with the pessimistic tendency in Ibn Al-Roumi's poetry, and it touched on the poet's private life, as well as the circumstances of his political, social and religious environment, which left their deep imprints in the various contents of his poetry.

To analyze this, we decided to adopt the psychoanalytic method for its ability to delve into the depth of the poet's psychological feelings, analyze them and reveal their motives and repercussions.

The study revealed the ingenuity of Ibn Al-Roumi in expressing his visions of life in an exquisite poetic language that combined artistic and semantic at the same time, leaving clear indications for the poet in the field of sincere pessimistic poetic literature.
