Abstract EN

The present study aims to clarify the tourism planning role in supporting the Algerian tourism development.

In order to achieve the study objectives, an evaluation study of Algerian experience in this area was conducted by comparing the prospects of the SDAT 2030 master plan of tourist development with the figures achieved in the tourism development indicators.

It is concluded that Algeria had achieved growth in the tourism sector; however it also represents a deficit that had not yet reached the targets for the Tourism Development Master Plan; That requires addressing this explicit delay in order to strengthen the national economy and its place in the global tourism market.
