Abstract EN

This research paper aims at studying and analyzing sustainable competitiveness capabilities of the Algerian economy according to the approved international indicators, highlighting their weaknesses and the reasons behind Algerian economy's low ranking.

the research emphasizes the importance of the development if these capabilities as one of the pillars to access green economy, on this basis, this study touched on the definition of sustainable competitiveness capabilities and their measurement and the concept of green economy and Algeria’s efforts in this field and the achieved outcomes.

the study concluded that efforts made in transition towards green economy and increasing competitiveness capabilities remain weak and fall short of the required level as Algeria neglects lot of its sustainable competitiveness capabilities despite the allocated programs and established institutions for that end.

more serious actions must be taken to curb the issue of conventional energies exhaustion, revitalize renewable energy projects and solve environmental issues such as the depletion of water and fishery resources, desertification and climate change.
