Abstract EN

This paper aims to try to analyse the trends of Algeria's manufacturing sector and to identify the economic importance of this sector in the national economy as one of the most reliable sectors under economic diversification plans and to find alternative sources of development, by understanding indicators related to the industrial sector, as well as analyzing the sectoral competitiveness of manufacturing in Algeria through international comparison indicators, the results of the analysis indicate that despite the new strategy adopted, the industry sector has not achieved added value in the economy, due to the lack of institutional conditions for industrial renaissance in the economy and to reach the required development levels.
