The beginning of 2020 was marked by an outbreak of the worldwide pandemic COVID-19, led to a global health crisis with no parallel in living memory.

the impact on the economy and societies around the world has been both deep and widespread.

this study highlights transformed pandemic from a health crisis into a profound labor market shock, resulting in higher unemployment ,and reduced incomes and increased poverty rate.

as a result, governments ,including Algeria, have made rapid and substantial responses to this crisis with apply policies to cope with the significant challenges to their labor market.
