The protection of migrant workers was and still is one of the goals of the International Labor Organization and the Arab Labor Organization, as they are specialized in providing legal protection for workers regardless of their affiliation, especially migrant workers in the countries that host them.

The Constitution of the International Labor Organization stipulates that protecting the interests of foreign workers in the countries to which they migrate for the purpose of work is a main goal, which may not be provided to them by the countries to which they come to as much as their national legislation provides, which is confirmed by the conventions and recommendations issued by them.

As for the Arab regional level, the issue of Arab labor mobility was the first issue raised, and within the framework of this endeavor, the organization used the tools that its constitution and work systems allow it to use to achieve its goals, the most important of which are the Arab agreements.
