Abstract EN

The present paper aims to work on an important question which is the critical terminology and its reception mechanisms as well as the influence of these mechanisms on the critical act generally.

In fact, the issue of terminology is not new in the modern and contemporary Arabic criticism; it is up for debate since the beginning of contact between the Arabic and the western criticism.

Our paper is not a research in the terminology issue in general but only a demonstration of mechanisms some critics in Algeria are using in dealing with some terms resulting from the modern narrative theory.

The present paper is based on the following questions: How did the Algerian critic receive the narrative terminology? How much differences are there between the critics in the reception of this terminology structure? By studying selective samples, we are going to answer these questions.
