Abstract EN

This article deals with the theme of rebellion in the poetry of El-Shanfara, this topic that has become inseparable from the poet himself.

As the movement of the “Saaliks” or Vagabonds constituted the first rebellion movement in Arabic poetry, including El-Shanfara, departed from the tribal pre-Islamic poetic custom, and El-Shanfara rebellion is nothing but an expression of the self rejection of injustice and desires of revenge, and he was a proud rebel against the tribe and society, El-Shanfara did not hesitate to leave his tribe after feeling offended, so he took the desert as a refugee, despite its dangers.

So he adapted to the new life, and he remained attached and victorious to his identity in a new poetic style through a rough and tough style, against the usualcustoms.
